Meercat RiskView Enterprise brings distributed risk and assurance under control
Designing and delivering a top-down risk and assurance management programme is a complex logistical challenge. Site managers have a range of local idiosyncrasies to consider, including customers and contractual expectations, regional safety and environmental regulations as well as plant and team cultural differences. At the same time, the objectives of Programme Managers include consistency, best practice, knowledge sharing, efficiency, resource allocation based on standardised reporting metrics. Operationally aligning both groups typically involves a Core system covering corporate needs and a patchwork of Site systems filling in the gaps: a costly and inefficient outcome for what was to have been an efficiency-led initiative.
Meercat, an industry leader in cloud-based risk & control assurance software, today announced the release of Meercat RiskView Enterprise. Programme Managers can now rapidly define packages of best-practice risk bowties and critical controls and deploy then to Sites, saving time and costs and the issues involved with management of change.
Sites adopt an appropriate risk and control package with localised adjustments, thereby meeting all their stakeholder needs, while still subscribing to all best-practice learnings been shared from Corporate.
After managing the rollout of a bowtie-driven critical control verification process across almost 100 Dyno Nobel sites in their Asia-Pacific Operations, Andrew Cunningham, now Senior Risk Manager for the Americas, knew that a new approach was needed stateside to achieve economies of scale for the additional 100 sites there.
“Having one framework globally that supports local, regional and divisional requirements reduces duplication of effort and data inconsistency and ensures that our bowtie-driven critical control verification process continues drive visibility and understanding of how our Critical Controls are performing. Being able to streamline these processes is also saving our site personnel and HSE staff tremendous amounts of effort in manually recording and updating records in multiple data repositories.”
Meercat’s RiskView software is a cloud-based system that supports the rapid company-wide deployment of best-practice risk assessment and control assurance tools, relied on by major hazard facilities large and small.
Meercat RiskView includes support for simple hazard identification studies such as site and project risk registers, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, bowties, SQRA, scheduled critical control audits and verifications, action tracking, and real-time dashboarding and reporting.
All risk management data is available via dashboards showing at a glance the performance of every element of the risk & assurance process, enhancing transparency, collaboration, decision making confidence, regulatory compliance & continuous improvement.
