38th Australasian Oil & Gas Conference (AOG)
Meercat RiskView recently attended the 38th Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) in Perth, Western Australia. Hosting over 300 exhibitors from around the world with large scale concurrent conference sessions featuring around 100 speakers, the event is one of the largest of its kind in the region.
The theme for AOG 2019 was “an energy shift”, as Australia experiences an increase in scale as the world’s largest LNG exporter, adopts new technology to enhance operations throughout the value chain and sees the growing presence of renewable energy sources. Meercat RiskView’s presence in the industry was well aligned with these shifts as an innovator in risk management technology who has benefitted numerous companies in the gas and broader energy sector. Furthermore, RiskView is now utilised by a number of enterprises involved with renewable energy, including the nationally prominent Snowy Hydro 2.0 project.
Furthermore, HSE was one of the major industry zones present at the exhibition. This year’s event showcased a number of internet and cloud-based products and services linked to remote sensing, communications technology, hazardous area products, safety skills training and advanced major accident modelling. Meercat’s attendance at the event proved highly productive in exchanging ideas with complementary and like-minded innovators, thus sowing the seeds for potential future collaborations and exchanging ideas and knowledge.
